Semi-automatic printers

Fast, reproducible, and ergonomic—with operator control.

Fast, reproducible, and ergonomic—with operator control.

Semi-automatic label printers are perfect when you want consistent label quality but don’t (yet) need full line automation. The printer prints and presents or applies the label itself, while you attach or replace the item.
This increases throughput, reduces errors, and ensures traceability—ideal for laboratories, life sciences, and hospitals, as well as manufacturing and logistics.

Operator-assisted solutions

I-Label vial label printer om snel en consistent vials te labelen, tot ongeveer 28 vials per minuut

Vial Label Printer (VLP)

The VLP is an industrial tube labeling solution for those who need volume and perfect label positioning. The device works “like a normal label printer”: variable content, labels directly from your application, and the ability to work stand-alone or integrate into LiMS. Labels remain legible in extreme conditions and overlamination is possible.

I-Label labelprinters cab Axon 1 (print & apply)

CAB Axon 1

The Axon 1 prints and automatically applies the label to vertically positioned tubes. A cycle takes<2 seconds: place, print & apply, done. Ideal if you want to remain hands-on, but want to label each tube exactly the same.

BradyPrinter i3300

Plug-and-play desktop for security and facility labels. With auto-cutter or peel-and-present, you can quickly make series without cutting or fiddling around.

BradyPrinter i5300

Smart bench printer that automatically recognizes and aligns media. With peel-and-present and cutter, the operator can work quickly, from panel and component labels to general asset ID.

De i7100 Brady printer - heavy-duty industrieel werkpaard

BradyPrinter i7100

De i7100 labelprinter is gebouwd voor intensief industrieel gebruik en levert uiterst nauwkeurige, consistente prints op uiteenlopende media (ook krimpkous).

Frequently asked questions about semi-automatic printers

Can a label printer work without a PC (stand-alone)?2026-02-26T13:24:54+01:00

Several models allow stand-alone printing with a USB keyboard or via pre-programmed forms on USB stick; otherwise, print via PC or network.

Can you run test prints with my samples?2026-02-26T13:20:57+01:00

Yes, we can run test prints with your samples. We test adhesion, contrast and scannability with your samples and recommend the correct label and ribbon combination.

Why should I use a barcode label printer for my laboratory processes?2026-02-26T13:26:54+01:00

Barcode label printers provide fast and efficient identification by printing unique barcode identification on labels.
This streamlines laboratory processes and increases efficiency.

Are Epson pigment prints water and chemical resistant?2026-02-26T13:20:28+01:00

Yes. Epson pigment prints in combination with appropriate media are prints water/chemical resistant; BS5609 for GHS/CLP is possible with the right combination.

What is the difference between direct thermal and thermal transfer?2026-02-26T13:25:07+01:00

Direct thermal prints black on thermal paper without a ribbon; suitable for short to medium life. Thermal transfer uses a ribbon (wax/wax-resin/resin) and is suitable for durable labels that must withstand temperature, friction and chemistry, among other things.

Which printer resolution do I need: 203 dpi, 300 dpi or 600 dpi?2026-02-26T13:24:23+01:00

203 dpi is often sufficient for logistics/receipts. 300 dpi is standard for small barcodes/text in the lab or for asset ID. 600 dpi is used for microtext or very small barcodes (e.g., on PCBs or in the lab).

Why choose I-Label for my laboratory identification?2026-02-26T13:25:58+01:00

At I-Label, we understand the unique requirements for laboratory identification. Why choose I-Label for your laboratory identification needs? We offer a wide range of high-quality materials, durable printers, and support. Discover our product range and improve your workflow.

What are the advantages of lab labels on a roll?2026-02-26T13:26:23+01:00

Lab labels on rolls are ideal for use in label printers because they can produce large quantities of labels efficiently. We offer thermal labels for fast printing and white labels for a professional look.

Which labels are suitable for high pallet racks?2026-03-05T13:57:06+01:00

Multilevel location labels are the ideal choice for high racks with reach trucks. They are readable from a distance and can be combined with barcodes or QR codes for scanning at height. Retro-reflective labels can even be scanned from angles of up to 20 meters.

Can floor labels withstand forklift traffic?2026-03-05T13:58:11+01:00

Yes. Floor labels for warehouse applications are made from extra wear-resistant material with a reinforced adhesive, specifically resistant to stress from forklifts and intensive internal transport.

Are your labels suitable for different laboratory applications?2026-02-26T13:26:11+01:00

Yes, our labels are specifically designed for a variety of teopass applications such as labeling lab tubes, circuit boards, components and warehouse storage. With color coding and size labels, you can improve your laboratory organization.

Can I continue to use my existing ZPL templates?2026-02-26T13:23:08+01:00

Yes, many printers support ZPL. We will test your templates, folders, fonts and barcodes and adjust minor differences as needed.

Which label material fits my application?2026-02-26T13:22:15+01:00

Define the requirements to determine your label material: environment (indoor/outdoor), temperature, chemistry, mechanical stress and desired lifetime. We match material + adhesive + ribbon with your requirements.

What types of barcode label printers do you offer?2026-02-26T13:26:34+01:00

We offer hand held printers for mobile applications as well as compact desktop printers. There is always a suitable option for your specific needs.

Which connection do I choose for my label printer: USB, Ethernet or serial?2026-02-26T13:22:36+01:00

USB connection is convenient for local single users. Ethernet is ideal for sharing and integration. Serial/RS-232 is used for machine links or legacy.

Do you provide custom label templates?2026-02-26T13:21:57+01:00

Yes. We create label templates for NiceLabel, Brady Workstation, or BarTender with your variables, barcodes, and corporate identity. Including validations where necessary.
