The VLP is an industrial tube labeling solution for those who need volume and perfect label positioning. The device works “like a normal label printer”: variable content, labels directly from your application, and the ability to work stand-alone or integrate into LiMS. Labels remain legible in extreme conditions and overlamination is possible.

Frequently asked questions about semi-automatic printers
The Loftware Cloud Designer uses printer seats: each physical or virtual printer you use consumes one printer seat. You start with 1 printer seat and can later expand to a maximum of 10 printers with the Cloud Designer license. If you need more printers, you can upgrade to a higher-tier Loftware Cloud license. I-Label can recommend the license that best suits your printing volume.
Yes. Epson pigment prints in combination with appropriate media are prints water/chemical resistant; BS5609 for GHS/CLP is possible with the right combination.
Direct thermal prints black on thermal paper without a ribbon; suitable for short to medium life. Thermal transfer uses a ribbon (wax/wax-resin/resin) and is suitable for durable labels that must withstand temperature, friction and chemistry, among other things.
Yes. With an industrial label printer linked to your order processing system, you can print every shipping label as soon as an order is created, including barcode, address details, tracking information, etc. This eliminates manual errors and keeps turnaround times low.
RFID tags contain a chip and antenna that can be read wirelessly by a scanner, without line of sight, from up to 15 meters away. This allows multiple pallets or boxes to be registered simultaneously at a gate or during inventory. They can be printed and encoded on site with the appropriate label printer.

When a monitored event occurs, an action is executed. That monitored event is a trigger. Loftware Automation continuously monitors a configured source (a folder, a database table, a TCP/IP port, an HTTP endpoint, or a cloud trigger). As soon as a change is detected, the corresponding actions are executed. Some triggers listen passively, while others operate actively and, for example, poll at regular intervals.

203 dpi is often sufficient for logistics/receipts. 300 dpi is standard for small barcodes/text in the lab or for asset ID. 600 dpi is used for microtext or very small barcodes (e.g., on PCBs or in the lab).

Yes. Loftware Forms support database integrations: product data is automatically retrieved based on a scan or search query. Operators do not need to enter anything manually, which eliminates typing errors. If operators do need to enter something manually, output rules can be programmed. The integration works with ERP, WMS, and LIMS systems, as well as with Excel or CSV files. I-Label handles the entire data source integration as part of the Loftware implementation.
